PORT EXPLOREUM

The Port Exploreum creates opportunities for inspirational discovery and joyful learning through hands-on exploration.

1860 LIGHT STATION

Re-built in 1860, our historic light station includes the lighthouse with lantern room atop the modified school house design and keeper’s living quarters.

RESOURCE CENTER

The Resource Center, an 1852 historic building restored by the Society from 2012-2014, is the center of the Port Washington Historical Society.

The Port Washington Historical Society was founded in 1991. Over the years the organization has demonstrated its strong volunteer commitment as a non-profit educational organization dedicated to the preservation, advancement and dissemination of the history of the Port Washington area.
