Michael Bink Building

231 North Franklin Street

Built in 1891, the Michael Bink Building remains largely intact as originally constructed. Built in the Queen Anne Style it is notable in its asymmetrical design with the canted corner entrance surmounted by a two-storied tall round turret. This is topped by a stilted pointed dome crowned with a finial. Michael Bink operated a saloon on the street level. Later Poole Funeral Home occupied the building, followed by Dick Ansay Realty/Schmit Realty.

229 North Franklin Street

The Nic Jung Building was built in 1873 in Italianate Style. It served as a drugstore in the early years.

223 North Franklin Street

The J. Thill Building was built in 1854 in the Italianate Style. It was home to Eichstedt Jewelry before it became Graff Jewelry Store. Renovated back to its earlier style in 2011, it is now a tea room and restaurant.

221 North Franklin Street

The Nic Pesch Building was built in 1928. For many years it was the Pesch Shoe Store, later a small card and gift shop, then housed a small restaurant.
